Originally the comic's scripting went a little differently, Kimberly just kissed Brisbane instead of "tricking" him into the kiss. I always enjoy the way spontaneous last-minute changes to the comics go, especially this one.

Modern Commentary
Not the first kiss; there were a few in Unlike Minerva. But this is probably the first time she actually meant it. Advancement is slow and tentative, with plausibly deniable steps that you could play off as jokes if things don't go well. - Terrence
