Original Commentary
Note that the third panel is less an office, more of a storeroom with a table in it. Anyhow, that's Sofia's pride for you. She's not about to admit failure. She doesn't really acknowledge the validity of any educational institution that refuses to graduate her - Terrence
Modern Commentary
As background, Sofia's private high school education turned into independant study, where they sent her to the Minerva Theatre. Not because they thought she would learn something, but because the school was tired of dealing with her and it was far away.
I'm not sure she graduated. I don't think she's sure she graduated. She and the school kinda stopped answering each other's phone calls.
Anyhow, not having a high school diploma isn't a hard no for those jobs. Refusing to answer any questions about whether or not you have one is.
