So why is there a mostly-in-game storyline centering around our fictional MMO? Well, gaming comics were really popular in the early 2000s and I really wanted a piece of that.

It didn't help. I mean, it was a fun storyline and we did some cool things in the game, but if you're trying to read things related to your favorite video games and we're coming at you with comics about a game that doesn't exist, you're maybe not here for that - Terrence
