Original Commentary

This is the reason the previous comic had so few lines - I wrote Ms. Taylor's speech before I finished the previous comic. It would only be used at the beginning of a comic, so I had to end the previous comic where I did. I was thinking of cutting that line so I could change the pacing of the last comic, but I liked it too much. I didn't originally intend for this to be a showcase of the interactions of the Taylor family, but it works very well - Terrence

Modern Commentary
Now, Mr. Taylor isn't exactly a friend to Brisbane, but their interests align. Or at least, Mr. Taylor wants Brisbane to think their interests might align if things go right - Terrence
