Original Commentary

I tried... so hard to come up with something more witty, less lame than "yes and no", but that really is the only thing Brisbane could come up with at such short notice, I really don't think he was expecting her to try and lead the conversation that way when he played through it in his head.

Brisbane's peculiar look in the second panel wasn't mean as "laughing at Kimberly", he's just somewhat all over the map with his emotions at the moment, both frightened to face this conversation with Kimberly, but also so... so happy, to be getting it over with, so the two of them can eventually move on to the next step in their relationship.

There might be a bit of bemusement in Brisbane's little smirk there- but if anything it has to do with being able to almost redo a critical moment in his life, and realize he gets to screw it up again. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I mean, of course they're going to talk about it more instead of going straight to sex. This is an emotionally significant moment for them. They've got a lot of talking to do and a lot of emotions to express beforehand.

And the other thing about the talking is we can show it in-comic... - Terrence
