Terrence is doing a smashing job writing this week, hasn't he? You really get the feeling that things are slowly unraveling right before your eyes... you want to root for them, yet at the same time, you just want them to have a caged match to get all that anger out. I did have to add one little line to the first panel, to explain just what he is doing within the comic (otherwise it just look like Mr. Taylor has very... purple, taste in clothing). -Isabel

So, yes. They're old and cunning. They used to be married and know how the other thinks, which is why they're both working about three moves ahead in this particular chess game - Terrence

Modern Commentary
Of course, this is the other possibility - that Ms. Taylor knew this might happen and this is a calculated move to let him know that this is her space. He might visit sometimes, but he shouldn't get too comfortable - Terrence
