Original Commentary

If Brisbane really wanted to move in, he would have mentioned that they could have turned his old room into a walk-in closet for Kimberly... the way to a woman's heart.

Besides we know Brisbane's other plans for that room... -Isabel

Modern Commentary
So the original script ended with Brisbane suggesting that they get a desk for his old room to replace the bed.

Then Kimberly says that they'd get more use out of the extra bed...unless...

And yeah, the punchline wasn't quite there; it came across as both a little too crass and a little too vague.

I like Brisbane's smile in that last panel. He's not upset that his idea got shot down; it was reasonable, but she pointed out the flaws he hadn't thought of. He's glad he had this conversation with his wife. I like this dynamic between them. And maybe his next idea will be a winner - Terrence
