So, why is Kimberly so nonchalant? This and the last comic sum it up: she's got a job to do. She's not convinced that there's an actual problem. She doesn't think that she could help if there was one.

Now, I wrote this comic about three or four weeks ago. Today the Caylee Anthony case is in the news. A three-year old girl is missing and her mother failed to report it to the police for about a month. This comic was written about a month ago and any parallels are entirely unintentional - Terrence

Why don't they go to the police? Because the police will probably be unhelpful, and also because we want to keep the action centered on Brisbane and Kimberly. We don't want to spend time watching cops do cop things. - Terrence
