Original Commentary
This is one part filler arc, one part adding on to the epic saga that will become Brisbane and Kimberly fixing up their apartment. I am so friggin jealous of them and their motivation to paint their walls... or rather, their inane need to paint their walls so others will not look poorly upon them. Yes, I am envious of their shame. Modern Commentary
I wish we had repainted our interior walls when we moved in to our house, years later. But we were in a hurry to leave our apartment and now it would be such a hassle to move everything and keep the cats out.
But now that we own our own place, the work is never done

Buying the paint again would be very expensive, yes... but the man (hedgehog?) hours are the killer... and the paint fumes. Can't forget those... unless you kill enough brain cells to. -Isabel Modern Commentary
"Let's go do the work twice" is the craziest thing that boy has ever said.

Original Commentary
Makes you wonder what kind of on-line purchasing experiences Brisbane has had to cause that kind of reaction in him? Perhaps we really shouldn't ask... some -Isabel Modern Commentary
I don't know how wallpaper actually works. Everything I learned about it, I learned from cartoons; the lead character gets covered in paste and tangled in wallpaper.
I'm sure that's all exaggerated for comic effect because it's not funny if you apply wallpaper and it's a just a little short or a little crooked or the patterns don't quite line up.
Maybe it's different now. Maybe there have been advances in the technology and it's so easy that I could do it. But still, no

Original Commentary
This was panel three's original dialogue:
K- Why not cut out the middle man and just paint the wall one bright color.
B- I think you've misunderstood the aesthetics of having paintings.
As you can see, I added a bit to it to help get the message of what they were saying a bit more across. I should point out that the teal color their apartment is in is the color all the apartments in their complex come in. Lola must have got a really good deal on that color (and probably has 50 more gallons of it in a shed somewhere). -Isabel Modern Commentary
Honestly, I like the color of their walls. If I had to repaint a room, I might choose a color like that. It's a nice color.
Also, Dan won't judge them either way.

Original Commentary
Kimberly's last line had a lot of changes. Isabel wrote it as "I don't want Dan seeing any pictures of me in a bikini." .
I changed it to "I don't want our guests seeing any pictures of me in a bikini.", because I didn't want to confuse people if they didn't know who Dan was. Isabel pointed out that it loses the awesome visual of Dan seeing Kimberly's bikini poster, and I had to agree. So we compromised - Terrence
Modern Commentary
I mean, what posters would Brisbane put up? Probably something for movies he likes or Final Battle Adventure Online.
Or whatever's on sale and isn't too embarassing. Like autumn landscapes or pictures of old mills or something

Original Commentary
I mean, it's not like Dan outranks them. They're technically all of equal rank at Lemon Technology. It's just that, well, he's a few years older than them, probably has a nice house, and they don't want to disappoint him - Terrence
Modern Commentary
At this point they're just not listening to each other. Kimberly just wants Brisbane to tell her what she wants to hear. Brisbane just wants to get at least one idea in to the final product.

Original Commentary
Sometimes it's better to just agree to disagree on things. Otherwise you just keep having the same conversation over and over again. You'd think after all this time those two would have realized that by now. Fortunately (for them) they only loose an afternoon... hopefully things will go forth quickly for them. -Isabel Modern Commentary
Brisbane is closing his eyes and picking a page (and color) at random in the second panel.
Did they reach an agreement? Kinda. Are they happy with it? No. But most importantly, did this buy me a week to finish up the Minerva Theatre reunion scripts? Yes. Did I actually finish them? Mostly. Not entirely. Kinda. Not really.
